Meet The Team
Dwayne Moore
Founder & Owner, Carolina Cloth Brokers
Rooted in a lifetime of family-owned business experience and a career built on precision and integrity, Dwayne brings a hands-on, trustworthy approach to the textile trade.
He began his professional journey after graduating from Nashville Auto Diesel College, later teaching automotive technology at a local technical college. His drive for excellence and attention to detail carried him into a distinguished 20-year law enforcement career, including 15 years as an investigator with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR).
After retiring from law enforcement, he turned his focus back to entrepreneurship, successfully owning and managing several businesses. Combining a strong business foundation with investigative discipline, he understands how to evaluate value, build lasting relationships, and make fair, informed deals.
Having married into a family with over 30 years of textile industry experience, he founded Carolina Cloth Brokers to bring that legacy forward helping mills, converters, and distributors move surplus fabrics efficiently while supplying small businesses and makers with quality, affordable textiles.
Dwayne approaches the cloth brokerage trade with the same principles that defined his entire career: honesty, precision, and professionalism.
“Surplus. Seconds. Sourced.” Turning textile surplus into opportunity.

Julie Moore
Co-Founder, Carolina Cloth Brokers
Julie Moore has been surrounded by the textile industry her entire life. Growing up in a family deeply rooted in fabric re rolling and cutdown as well as distribution, she developed a firsthand understanding of quality, consistency, and the relationships that drive the textile trade.
A graduate of Christ for the Nations Institute, Julie combined her education with a lifelong passion for business and entrepreneurship. Over the years, she and her husband, Dwayne, have successfully owned and managed several companies, gaining valuable experience in operations, sales, and customer relations before selling those businesses to refocus on her first love textiles.
Now as Co-Founder of Carolina Cloth Brokers, Julie brings over three decades of industry exposure and business insight to help mills, converters, and distributors move surplus fabrics efficiently and profitably. Her eye for quality, commitment to fairness, and deep appreciation for the Carolina textile heritage make her a trusted partner to both suppliers and buyers.
